Inheritance Features
Beneficiary Setup
You provide one key to your chosen beneficiary or executor and prepare legal documents, such as a will or trust, to establish their rights to your Bitcoin. Unchained offers an Inheritance Protocol package that includes step-by-step guides, executor letters, and secure storage materials to assist in this process.
Inheritance Process
Upon your passing, your executor presents the necessary legal documentation to Unchained to verify their authority. With their key and Unchained's assistance (providing one of the required signatures), they can access the Bitcoin in the vault. This process ensures that your assets are transferred securely and according to your wishes, even if your heirs are not technically inclined.
